Chartered Psychologist and HCPC Registered

Hey! Thanks for checking out my website, it's great to have a moment of your time.

I'm passionate about improving everyone's experiences of sport. Whether you're a coach, parent, official or athlete, I feel we all face similar pressures to deliver the best performance possible.

Sport has played a constant role in my life, with a parent as a coach and all my siblings being involved in competitive sport growing up. I am a qualified sports coach and an Olympic-level Official for the World Governing Body of figure skating. I love every positive aspect my involvement with sport has brought. But, I also embrace the negative aspects, and the skills sport has helped me to develop, which I truly feel I implement into every aspect of my life on a daily basis.

I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2013, and enrolled for my Master's degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology the same year. I graduated in 2016, gained my Graduate Membership to the British Psychological Society (BPS) and started my Supervised training in the Summer of 2017. I completed this doctoral level work-based learning programme in October 2021, gaining Chartered Psychologist status with the BPS and registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). These are deemed the gold standard of practice within sport and exercise psychology in the United Kingdom. This means my work is evidence-based, research-informed, and bound by the BPS Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct.

Away from my role as a Performance Psychologist, I am a qualified teacher, completing my PGCE in the summer of 2016. I have experience of working within Further and Higher Education. I completed my Master's degree in Education in the Autumn of 2017. I then entered academia full-time, returning to Grad school to take up a fully-funded PhD research position as a member of the Sport Coaching Research Group at Liverpool John Moores University. I completed this qualification in the Summer of 2020.

I'm excited to work with people across all levels of the sporting ecosystem, from a range of different sports. While you're here, check out my 'Services' page to read about the psychological services I offer. If you think I could help, get in touch, and we can discuss possible ways forward.
