Hey! Thanks for checking out my website, it's great to have a moment of your time.
I'm passionate about improving people's experiences of sport. Whether you're a coach, parent, official or athlete, I feel we all face similar pressures to deliver our best performance possible.
Sport has played a constant role in my life. I am a qualified sports coach and an Olympic-level Official for the World Governing Body of figure skating. I love every positive aspect my involvement with sport has brought and embrace the skills sport has helped me to develop.
I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2013, and enrolled for my Master's degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology the same year. I graduated in 2016, gained my Graduate Membership to the British Psychological Society (BPS) and started my Supervised training in the Summer of 2017. I completed this doctoral level work-based learning programme in October 2021, gaining Chartered Psychologist status with the BPS and registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). These are deemed the gold standard of practice within sport and exercise psychology in the United Kingdom. This means my work is evidence-based, research-informed, and bound by the BPS Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. I have worked with athletes, coaches, parents, and officials across seven different sports, from developmental to the elite level.
In addition to my role as a Performance Psychologist, I am a qualified teacher. I have experience of working within Further and Higher Education. I completed a fully-funded PhD research position as a member of the Sport Coaching Research Group at Liverpool John Moores University in 2020 and now research and lecture all things sport psychology in Higher Education.
